 I WANT THIS CAT!!!!

I saw this cat in a store. It was half wild mother. It had the ringlets like a poodle. I kept thinking how could I bring this cat home. Half wild it would run away form our property. I thought that I might not be allergic to this cat because it had the ringlets maybe I could keep it inside. When I picked it up it did not scratch me but it was not comfortable with me holding it. There where two of the ringlets cats the other one was all black but I know this one was for me. It had a ring around its neck that was green ringlets and then it was lime green and purple patches of ringlets. This was there natural color not dyed. Just as I was trying to make up my mind the alarm went off and I had to wake up.

Jamie said that he agrees with mom that I am “to weird for words”. I think I might be allergic to that cat to because my eye was mattered shut when I woke up.

 yarn & shoes

These last few weeks nothing exciting has happened. On the 12th I had a bunch of doctor’s appointments. Before the appointments I went to a rummage sale for craft stuff I was able to get four cones of yarn for $1.50 a cone. And they had some wonderful books they only took cash so I bought what I could and was going to come back after my appointment. Well by the time I got back all of the other cones of yarn where gone. But I still got the other books I wanted. The next day was the parker rummage sale at one house they had a bunch of fuzzy yarn for $2 a skane or make an offer well I put in an offer of $30 for three boxes (31 skanes) and they took it. So that weekend was all about yarn.

Last Friday I went to some rummage sales with Brianna. It was the weekend for shoes I bought eight pairs of shoes for $9 not all at one sale. I got a pair for my coworker who was looking for a pair of walking sandals, Brianna got 2 pairs of shoes and I got the other 5 pairs. (It is nice that all three of us ware the same size shoes.)

On Saturday I went to the Orchid Club meeting then I went over to help Ruth pack for her move. I was only going to stay until 4pm. Well they where not just packing they where moving things to the storage unit so we took 2 loads to the storage unit and I got home around midnight. But that means there will be less to do this Sunday when Jamie and I go to help her move.

a very long version of last week

Last Thursday I meet with the counselor for the masters programs. We went over what I would have to do to get into the program and what classes I would need to take before I could start. I would have to take about 17 (aprox 52 credits) undergraduate classes still and then there would be the 10 (30 credits) graduate classes this is for my MPA (masters of professional accountancy). I asked about if I would be pricing myself out of a job if I had my MPA and no expreicane. Only to find out that now to go for your CPA you have to have 150 credits and undergraduate in accounting or your MPA and most undergraduates just go on to get their MPA to qualify for the 150 credit (a BS in accounting is 120 credit). So most of the people that are going for their CPA will have their MPA also. I asked if I have to do my GMAT (test that has to be taken to get into the MPA program) right now and no I do not have to do that for a while. So I could get some of the classes out of the way and get in the studying habit before I have to take the GMAT or even apply to the graduate program. Right now it looks like it will take me about five years to get through the undergraduate classes if I take two classes in the fall and spring and one class in the summer. I will be able to afford to do that without taking any student loans. Then it would be about another three years in the graduate classes. I think that it will be worth it to not have any student loans. This counselor was 1000% better than the first counselor. She listened to what my plans are, where I wanted to go and how I wanted to do it. I will meet with her tomorrow to get register for fall classes.

Thursday after noon Jamie, Penny and I went out to Rapid City for an event called Quest for Camelot. It is the first camping event of your (Jamie & mine) season. In fact it was the first event this year that we have been to. I was great to see everyone again. I talked to friends that I have not see sense September of last year. It was a good event sales were very good. I got to trade for some hand woven fabric for my llamas fleece and did some weaving. I have to get my loom rewarped soon I want to try doing more weaving. The weather was very cool in fact Saturday morning there was frost on the ground and any container that had water in it was now ice. The only really warm day was Sunday when we where tearing down. I have decided that I need to make some really warm clothing for us out of wool. I know that one of these years there will be snow on the ground. And we will need them.

This week we had a company meeting on how the business is doing and what was going on with the hours. (We have been on 32 hours per week since end of January) Well we are not decreasing in sales but things are not good enough to get to go back to 40 hours per week yet. It will be on an as needed base so if our department is busy or short staffed we will get the 40 hours. But when things slack off we will be back to the 32 hours. As of right now there will not be any more layoffs or any summer help coming in. I hope that things will pick up soon. That will determine how many classes I will be able to take this spring or even if I get to take any at all.

I know I just have to have faith that it will all work out. It always dose some how.

 what is up with school

I meet with my counselor for school today. I thought that counselors were to be helpful. That was a mistake. All it seemed like he did push me to go for my MBA instead of another under grad degree. And when I asked about the MBA he could not help me or answer any of my questions. I will try to set up an appointment talk to the person that deals with the MBA’s to find out what pre-requests I would need. He was so abrasive that I finally just said thank you stood up and walked out.

I found out that a lot of the classes that I took before for business are not transferring. I will have to dispute about 5 of them (he was not a lot of help there either). But to get into the program this fall I would have to take about 15 credits this summer. (I can’t physically or financial do that) They only offer the accounting track every two years here and it starts this fall and then again in 2011. So I am also going to look into the privet schools around here to see what they offer both undergrad & grad.

I have a lot of concerns about going to grad schools because I have no background in business let alone accounting. I am not sure that I would be able to keep up with what is expected of me in the classes. I am worried about trying to take my GMAT this summer with out having any real study time. And I am also worried that if I get my MBA but not have that experience that I will have a harder time finding a job. Granted most of the places the credit department in part of accounting. But the whole point of going back to school is to be able to get a better job.
